The Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Akwa Ibom State, is committed to fostering economic growth and reducing poverty through strategic empowerment initiatives. One of our key programs under this mandate is the ARISE Business Equipment Support Scheme, designed to support small and medium enterprises (SMEs) and promote sustainable economic development.

Through this initiative, the Ministry aims to empower local entrepreneurs, boost productivity, and create job opportunities across various sectors. By providing business equipment and financial support to SMEs, we are helping to reduce unemployment, support innovation, and drive economic growth within the state.
Key Programs Under Social Welfare & Protection

Provision of Business Equipment: Supporting startups and small business owners with essential tools and equipment to enhance productivity.

Access to Funding Opportunities: Financial grants and soft loans to help businesses scale and expand their operations.

Skill Development & Capacity Building: Training programs to enhance business management skills and digital innovation.

Support for Women-Owned Businesses: Empowering female entrepreneurs with resources to thrive in their various trades.

Monitoring & Mentorship: Regular follow-ups to ensure business growth and sustainability.

Our Impact So Far

Enhanced business sustainability and growth within the state.

400 female youths empowered with N750,000 each under the ARISE Youth Empowerment Scheme.

2,000 small and medium enterprises (SMEs) have received business equipment support.

Boosted productivity and increased job creation across local communities.
